title
a fog laden river marks the start
the finish is left undefined.
with each splash, each sloppy stroke of the paddle
another mystery is one clue closer to being solved
another adventure is one step farther away from home
the waterfalls like grace, a rushing pour
the moon gives us direction, and sheds its light
the mud covered trail gives us what we need
we play follow the leader with the stars
we are taken upward with no intent to return
another step, another stroke
wisdom filled we gaze at your beauty
you guide us by night and give us rest
a creek runs past
the wide expanse glares at me with unrequired hope
as the shell of my existence dances vividly across
while reflections sing of glory loudly to the beat of desire.
i find myself at a loss for words as the morning light fills my heart
with a passion that honours the crisp new day yet requires reckless abandon.
the fire crackles writhing in pain as we bask in its tears
as much as time holds us together yesterday has a empty tomb
and tomorrow will never come, so find today.
these are some really random writings of mine.

hope
Romans 5: 1-5
Peace and Joy
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

passion
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
And oh, how He loves us oh
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all
He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.
And oh, how He loves us oh,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all
He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
And we are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If His grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
And heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest, I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…
That He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

I've been reading the shack and the content recently has been hitting me hard, the healing that God has for us, the love that He wants us to live in. Now the shack isnt the bible but it really attacks false presumptions that God doesnt care about my deepest hurt, that He is just the big guy in the sky who im going to meet someday, honestly i have had to repent for the mentality that God doesnt want a deeper relationship with me, and i hope that if you see yourself in a place that you are apathetic towards going deeper with God, that you will repent and cry out to Him. because it will bring the life more abundant, putting your roots deeper in Him. when i feel overwhelmed by how far i have to go, by how imperfect I am, I have to remember that all i can do is be open to Him and take the step towards Him he doesnt expect anything more. but if I cant look at Him as a loving Father, as my loving Father, then i have to move towards that, then i have to fight for that, because the devil will tell you that God doesnt care about you.

Psalm 139
For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.
1 O LORD, you have searched meand you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.
5 You hem me in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.
(our battle is not against flesh and blood but the things(demons, wrong thinking, etc.) that set themselves up against the freedom, the love, the hope, the grace, the complete forgiveness of the Lord Jesus Christ)
19 If only you would slay the wicked, O God!
Away from me, you bloodthirsty men!
20 They speak of you with evil intent;
your adversaries misuse your name.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD,
and abhor those who rise up against you?
22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.

daily drip
faint drip of yesterdays sorrow rolling off the roof
the newness of today thwarting its weight
raindrops fall on me and make time stand still
the honest out pour stirs my heart
gives me a new sense of wonder
are these tears from my Lord
the sun doesn't bend it never stops shining
will we choose to walk in the light of Gods love
until the brightness of heaven is fulfilled
will we see the drops of fresh melt on our windows
and see our reflection in His streams of Mercy

Psalms 85
9 Surely his salvation is near those who fear him,
that his glory may dwell in our land.
10 Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 The LORD will indeed give what is good,
and our land will yield its harvest.
13 Righteousness goes before him
and prepares the way for his steps.

Ok so I'm going to attempt to repeat a joke that I heard yesterday.
so there is a pastor lets say his name is Demetrius he is in a town named Gaffe, its somewhere in New Hampshire. (I added the names to make it more personal) and there is a flood that is coming to that town, they send out the police to evacuate the town, they come to the pastor and say you got to come with us the flood is coming, he boldly declares "God is going to save me" and so they eventually leave him because they arent going to force him. so the water gets higher and higher and eventually the water is coming up to the foundation of his house and some members of his congregation come to him in there boats they say "pastor we got to go" pastor refuses again says "God is going to save me" . and so the water continues to rise and rise and rise and the pastor has to climb on the top of his roof, the coast guard comes with helicopters they come down in the cage and the pastor refuses to go again, says" God is going to save me". so the flood comes up and the pastor drowns to death. He gets to heaven and Hes kinda ticked off, "he says why didnt you save me" God replies," I tried to save you 3 times"

imagine
didnt bring my camera. i tend to leave it behind these days. im sure it will come out again soon so that i might share what my eyes see. today i will leave it to your imagination. the pink from the sunset seemed to dance across the snow laden mountains, the stream of water flowing from the hills melted snow sparkles in the fleeting sunlight, the awful flow of muddy water isnt the only thing coming down from the hilltops, the beastly grazers of all things bush related retreat from the overwhelming flood of snow. day fades to night.
