1 eagle
Deu 32:9 But the LORD's portion is his people, Jacob his allotted heritage.
Deu 32:10 "He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of the wilderness; he encircled him, he cared for him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
Deu 32:11 Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, that flutters over its young, spreading out its wings, catching them, bearing them on its pinions,
Deu 32:12 the LORD alone guided him, no foreign god was with him.
Deu 32:13 He made him ride on the high places of the land, and he ate the produce of the field, and he suckled him with honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock.

2. people of alaska

3. passion for the people of alaska

a couple years ago i would say i was culturally unaware, socially unaware, and unaware in general of most things other than myself. there is nothing that could have prepared me for being up on St. lawrence the first time. Im at lost for words. its easy to be ignorant, to pass any compassion to the side saying "you reap what you sow". look into the eyes of these children, do you see hope? i do. they have all experienced loss. i wish i could speak more without feeling like i am posting something online that i shouldnt be. i so want to go to these places in canada to be able to share in the burdens of the churches in those communities.

title

walking through the wilderness(dreams)

a fog laden river marks the start
the finish is left undefined.
with each splash, each sloppy stroke of the paddle
another mystery is one clue closer to being solved
another adventure is one step farther away from home
the waterfalls like grace, a rushing pour
the moon gives us direction, and sheds its light
the mud covered trail gives us what we need
we play follow the leader with the stars
we are taken upward with no intent to return
another step, another stroke
wisdom filled we gaze at your beauty
you guide us by night and give us rest

a creek runs past

the wide expanse glares at me with unrequired hope
as the shell of my existence dances vividly across
while reflections sing of glory loudly to the beat of desire.
i find myself at a loss for words as the morning light fills my heart
with a passion that honours the crisp new day yet requires reckless abandon.
the fire crackles writhing in pain as we bask in its tears
as much as time holds us together yesterday has a empty tomb
and tomorrow will never come, so find today.

these are some really random writings of mine.

hope

1. Perseverance!
Romans 5: 1-5
Peace and Joy

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
